Joseph "Joe" P. Couchene                         Age   60                  Iron River, MI

Died  Sunday  October 23, 2011 at his home.

Born: October 1, 1951 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The son of the late Benjamin and Maryann (Lassa) Couchene attended the Pulaski High School and graduated.  Joseph was a long time resident of Iron River.  He worked as an inspector at Oldenburg Manufacturing for 20 years. 

Joseph married Cynthia (Mastie) on August 5, 2006 in Saline, MI.  The couple reside in the Iron River area.

Joe was an avid fisherman, enjoyed building things, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Christa and Susan and brother, Michael.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia of Iron River

                   Sister-in-law, Geralyn Mastie

Visitation: Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 11:00 at the First Presbyterian Church of Iron River with the Rev. Dawn Treado-Green to officiate.

Interment: Bates Township Cemetery, Iron River

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the Iron County Cancer Unit or Pancreatic Cancer Research.
