Died Saturday  October 22, 2011 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI

Joy was born August 2, 1919 in Michigamme.  She moved to Stambaugh as a child and lived in Michigan most of her life with her husband, George Murphy.

She was preceded in death by her husband George; special companion Willard Hahn; great granddaughter Jill Kargle; brother Clifford Hooper; special daughter and friend Donna Murphy.

Joy loved the out doors and enjoyed her home on Indian Lake, wintering in Mission, Texas, and later in life spending time at the Hahn Camp in Amasa, MI.

Visitation: Friday, October 28, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.

Memorial Service: Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
