#1 Francene Rasmissen 2011-12-06 01:31 Hoping John is now feeling the peace in heaven that he so deserved but was unable to find here on earth. He will be missed by his lower pennisula cousins especially Melanie and Hannah. He was the light of Jane and Larry's life and they felt honored to have the care of him for so many years. I lnow they felt blessed to have another son after losing Larry and Dale. He is being welcomed into their loving embrace in heaven. May he rest on peace. We loved you John, Jim and Francene Quote

#2 Melanie Rasmussen 2011-12-06 02:56 I too, like my parents, hope that John is feeling the peace in heaven that he so much craved and deserved but was unable to find here on Earth. My hope is that he is with his parents Larry and Jane up in heaven. The friends he considered the closest to him, though far way, miss him dearly. Ezra, Craig, and I cannot even begin to describe the loss we are feeling. My greastest regret is that I failed to awake to his phone call. I am positive John will be looking down on us and taking care of us the best that he could. We love you. Love, Melanie Quote

#3 Lari MacKenzie 2011-12-06 03:50 John will be missed by all of us; the spark of life, the friendship that he offered to everyone. We love you John, and pray that you are nestled safely in Heaven's Arms with Mom and Dad who loved you so much, rejoiced in having you as their son, loved watching you grow up with your talent in fixing things; Dad's pride and joy. Mom's heart of heart. Caretaker of the best of us. Dan and Courtney and I relive our lives with you and know that we are less without you, even though we were far away. Rest now, let your burdens be lighter. I have always and will forever love you my godchild, brother, nephew.

Love, Sugar

#4 Jason Mattson 2011-12-06 08:13 John was a long time friend of mine from grade school when we would sneek out and get into trouble and highschool when we played football together and even after graduation until he had moved away. I regret not keeping in touch more and would like to express my condolences to his family especialy his children who I know he loved dearly. John was a great friend and I along with others such as Ezra, Craig, and Aaron have talked about him since our school days. I will miss him greatly and will be praying for his family. John, I will never forget the good times we had and I am sorry for not keeping in touch the last several years.

Thanks again for great friendship
Jason Mattson.

#5 Carrie Huglen 2011-12-06 13:28 John, I hope you know that you have left a piece of you with me always. That piece was all the good that I remember of you, from your unbelievable talent to your uplifting humor. I pray that you have found the peace that you so desired and most definitely deserved, I just wished you could have found it here. Marissa will always remember you very fondly, I will make certain of that. She carries your picture with her everyday and holds it very close… We both miss you, John. My deepest sympathies to all brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends who mourn. I pray for all of you just as I know you pray for us. May the Lord bless you all and give you His peace. #7 Stacy Nelson 2011-12-11 02:51 I , along with everyone else will miss my little cousin. I enjoyed helping him with his math and playing with him when he was small. I regret not being able to find him in time for anything to happen to him but I guess it was not meant to be , I hope his pain is alleviated. Through this terrible time our family has grown closer and I will always be here for every one of you especially Marissa. I love you all. Quote

#8 Cynthia Beck 2012-01-22 10:40 John, It troubles me still to know you are gone at so young an age. I've thought of you many times since I heard of your passing & have said prayers for you and your children and all of your family. My daughter Erica was amongst your HS friends. It was through her that I met you & your "mom" Jane. I know she meant a lot to you because you mentioned her often. I'm sure it was very difficult for you when she passed away. I pray you now have your peace & that your children can learn & remember you for the kind person I know you were. Quote

#9 Francene Rasmussen 2012-01-28 08:33 Hey John,
If not for Carrie, Melinda, and Stacy we would not have known about your service today. As you know HB's prenancy is very high risk, and so close to delivery, travel was impossible. There was nothing to say that you don't already know. We love you, are proud of you, and will trasure the memories of you. Your life was not defined by how you left it. The man you were is so much more. We hope you are at peace, hanging with the people who loved and raised you. Love your family downstate.
