Dean A. Mundell Sr., age 66 of Iron River, MI, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at Northstar Health System, Iron River. Born: May 5, 1943 in Downing, CA The son of the late John and Emily (Dileski) Mundell attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating in 1961. He was a U. S. Army Veteran. Dean married the former Barbara Walker on August 21, 1962 and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. He was a member of the Laborers Union and the Stambaugh Volunteer Fire Department. Smart, funny, and witty, he was generous to a fault. He was an avid reader, enjoyed trivia, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sons; Shawn Mundell of Caspian Joseph Mundell of Iron River Dean (Stephanie) Mundell Jr. of De Pere, WI Guy (Celia) Mundell of Iron River Daughter, Lisa (Dan) Milach of Iron River Sister, Marie (Theo) Wilson of Jackson, FL Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild Visitation will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Gathering Room of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River with a Prayer Vigil at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor, to officiate. The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites following the Prayer Vigil. Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
