Gildo L. Zini Jr. Age 74 Caspian, MI
Died Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI.
Born: April 12, 1936 in Hermansville, MI
The son of the late Gildo and Victoria (Scarlassara) Zini Sr. attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1954. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran and was awarded the National Defense Service and Good Conduct Medals. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a self-employed carpenter for many years.
Gildo married the former Margaret Buzakowski and she preceded him in death in October, 1966. He later married Yvonne Magray and she preceded him in death on November 9, 2004.
He was a member of the VFW Ottawa Post #3134, the American Legion, and the Disabled American Veterans. He loved woodworking, fishing, camping, bowling and spending time with his family.
He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Cindy Jackson and Brenda Jackson, two sons, Todd Zini and Dennis Jackson and sister, Delores Cavadeas.
He is survived by his sons; Scott Zini of Caspian

Visitation: Monday, January 17, 2011 from10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
Memorial Service: Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, with Rev. Jeffrey Kurtz to officiate.
The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites at the service.
