Arvilla I. Ostrenga                             Age 92                                  Nelma, WI
Died Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Northstar Health System, Iron River, MI. with family by her side.

She was born June 17, 1919 in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of the late Andrew and Ethel ( Rukamp) Kaster.

Arvilla married John K. Ostrenga on August 10, 1940 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Abrams, WI, and the couple made their home in Little Suamico.   John preceded her in death, March 5, 1993.

Arvilla was a 50 year member of the St Louis Catholic Church.  As an active member she was involved with the Alter Society, parish funerals, and the church picnics.    Arvilla enjoyed cards, gardening, cooking , baking,  and, when asked, she  would bring a delicious homemade pie.

Arvilla moved to Green Bay in 1994.  During this independent time, Arvilla joined St Agnes parish, a Bible study group, and stayed active with the Little Suamico card club.

After her hip broke in 2003 Arvilla relied on her children for her care, and the card playing continued.

She is survived by two sons, Bernie (Sue) Ostrenga of Green Bay, WI
                                                Dan (Imelda) Ostrenga of Burlington, WI               
                   Three daughters, Mary (Dan) Tutas of Little Suamico, WI
                                               Ruth Ostrenga of Asheville, NC
                                               Carol (Lee) Wolf of Nelma, WI
                   Twelve grandchildren, Cheri, Tim, Angie, Bernie Jr., Steven, Jason,
                                                Joel, Mandy, Carolyn, Sean, Shannon and Sara
                   Thirteen  great grandchildren

Visitation: Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Pius, Hwy J, Little Suamico, WI, with Father Gerald A. Prusakowski, O.F.M., to offer the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. following visitation.

Entombment: Nicolet Memorial Gardens, Green Bay, WI
