Herman C. Puckett Age 86 Alvin, WI
Died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Lillian Kerr Healthcare Center, Phelps, WI.
Born: October 17, 1925 in Iron River, MI
The son of the late Dillard and Sudie (Ponders) Puckett attended the Stambaugh Schools. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Herman married the former Elva Day on May 22, 1948 in Alvin, WI. The couple celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this year.
He was employed as a machinist by American Motors Corporation for over 32 years, retiring in 1984. Following his retirement, the couple returned to the Alvin area to make their home.
Herman was a member of the Little White Church of Alvin. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gathering firewood.

Visitation: Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
Funeral Service: Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, with Rev. Herman Spencer to officiate. The West Side Veteran will accord Military Rites at the service.
Interment: Lakeview Cemetery, Alvin
