David C. Ghiggia Age 53 Iron River, MI
Died Monday, January 23, 2012 at his home.
He was born February 8, 1958 in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Conrad and Sally (Erickson) Ghiggia. He attended the West Iron County Schools and graduated. David was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and following his honorable discharge he attended Northern Michigan University graduating with a Bachelors Degree in English.
David was self-employed in the auto body repair industry and the caretaker of Camp Gibbs. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He loved his dog, Scooby. David was a lifelong resident of the area.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Chris Russell) Ghiggia of Jupiter, FL

Special friends and family
The family invites friends to attend a luncheon on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Stambaugh American Legion for a Celebration of Life for David.
