Elizabeth “Betty” F. Roberts                                                Age 79                         Iron River, MI

Passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Iron River Care Center.

Born May 4, 1932 in Crystal Falls, MI

The daughter of the late John and Fern (Guili) Martinucci attended the Forest Park schools graduating in 1951.  Betty was employed by the Abstract Company of Crystal Falls and was a secretary at the Chamber of Commerce and the Health Department.  Along with her husband, she managed Toti’s Tavern from 1969 to 1972.  She then worked for Dr. Plous as a dental assistant and secretary. 

Elizabeth married Dean Roberts on September 5, 1953 at the Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Crystal Falls and the couple made their home in Iron River.  They celebrated their 37^th wedding anniversary in 1990.  Dean preceded her in death on December 20, 1990.

Elizabeth was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River.  She enjoyed bowling, camping, and playing cards with her family.  After retiring in 1979, she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great grandson.  Family was the most important thing in her life.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Lorraine and step father Otto Weinert.

She is survived by her daughter, Veronica “Dolly” (John) Cimarelli of Iron River

Visitation: Friday, February 17, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.

Funeral Service: Friday, February 17, 2012 at 1:00 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment: Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River
