Doris Maki Age 79 Iron River, MI
Passed away Sunday February 19, 2012 at her home.
Born: April 19, 1932 in Stambaugh, MI
The daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (White) Sutherland attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating from Stambaugh High School with the Class of 1952.
Doris married Edsel Maki on June 11, 1955 and the couple made their home in Stambaugh Township. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in 2011 in Iron River.
Doris was a member of the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church of Iron River. She was a beloved mother and homemaker. She enjoyed berry picking, apple picking and making pies. She also loved doing needlepoint, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, George, and Arthur and an infant brother, her sister, Dorothy Godfrey, and grandson, David Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Edsel

Visitation: Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, with Minister Charlie Prusi to officiate.
Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River
