Theresa Cascioli                                            Age   92                                                         Iron River, MI
Passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Iron River Care Center.

She was born on  December 11, 1919 in Iron River, MI, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Rosetti) Bigari.  She graduated  from Iron River High School in 1937.  Theresa married Bruno Cascioli on September 26, 1940, at the St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River,

Theresa lived her life for her family.  Baking and cooking were her passion.  She made wonderful homemade hot lunches for St. Agnes School and the West Iron County School System.  After her retirement in1990, at age 70, she was actively involved at the Iron River Senior Center.
Theresa was a member of the St. Agnes Church, St. Agnes Altar Society and the Italian Ladies Society.

 She is survived by her daughter, Frances (John) Luther of Stoughton, WI and her son, Robert (Jo Ann) Cascioli of Oconomowoc, WI; her brothers; Ernest (Helen) Bigari of Iron River and Eugene (Sue) Bigari of Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Bruno Cascioli; her parents, Albert and Mary Bigari; her brothers, Louis and Alfred Bigari.


Visitation will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.

Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.  The ladies of the Italian Ladies Society will form an Honor Guard at the service.

Interment will be at the  Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River

The family would like to thank her home care givers and the Iron River Care Center staff for their loving and compassionate care.
