Adeline Virginia (Gendron) Brunell, of Iron River, MI, died Monday, July 25, 2016 at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. Adeline was Born June 13th, 1921 in Norway, MI, daughter of the late Fred Gendron and Pearl (LaVigne)  and Charles Dennis.  Adeline attended the Iron River Schools.  On September 6th, 1941, she married Charles W. Brunell at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River, MI. Adeline was an active member of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Stambaugh from its beginning through its closing.  She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Ladies Guild, serving as treasurer and president; she served on the Bishop Baraga Committee for three years.  She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and the St. Ann’s Altar Society.  Adeline was an active member of the Stambaugh American Legion Auxiliary Post 21 for over 28 years.   She enjoyed and took pride in being a member of the committee that organized the first WYCON all night graduation party.  She was employed by the A&P Store during WWII, later employed by Northern Linen, and Coleman Products, were she retired after 11 years of service. Adeline was preceded in death by her father Fred Gendron (1923);, parents Charles and Pearl (LaVigne) Dennis; husband Charles; son Robert Patrick; brothers, Leo, Charles, Floyd and Orville Dennis; sisters, Gladys Kinney (Dennis), Cleo Richard (Dennis), Yvonne Ketchum (Dennis), and Elaine Hooser (Dennis).  She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Heaton of St. Paul, MN; sons, William J. of Iron River,  and David C. (Jerilynn) of Stillwater, MN; brother, Clifford (Carol) Gendron of Milwaukee, WI; sisters, Mildred (Muriel) Jean of West Bend, WI, Rachel Riverside of Iron River, and Roselind (Anton) Demboski of Quinnesec, MI; one sister-in-law, Kathryn Dennis of Iron River ;  two brothers-in-law, Paul (Pete) Hooser of Kingsford, MI, and Robert Ketchum of Gaastra MI; grandchildren, Michael Heaton, Steven Heaton, Anthony Brunell, David J. Brunell, Christianna (Larry) Brown and Michael Brunell;  14 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Visitation will be held Friday, July 29, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at St Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The ladies of St. Ann’s Society will form an Honor Guard at the service.Pallbearers will be Michael Heaton, Steven Heaton, Zachery Heaton, Anthony Brunell, David J. Brunell, and Larry Brown.
