Albert Angeli

Albert J. Angeli Age 92 Iron River, MI Passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at Northstar Health System, Iron River. He was born June 4, 1920 in Iron River, MI, the son of the late Bortolo and Domenica (Brusacoram) Angeli and was a lifelong resident of the area. He attended the Stambaugh schools, graduating from Stambaugh High School in 1938. Albert married the former Marguerite LaVeau on April 19, 1941 in Iron River and recently celebrated their 71st Anniversary. He spent two years with the CCC Camp prior to entering the US Navy in 1944. He was employed by Pickands Mather Mining Company for 18 years and the Groveland Mine as a Lab Technician until his retirement in 1981. Albert was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife Marguerite Son, Jon (Rita) Angeli of Lancaster, WI Daughter, Pamela (Joseph) Orr of Apple Valley, MN Four grandchildren, Curt (Jodi) Angeli Christopher (Melanie Cortier) Orr Marcia (Mark) Opitz Megan Orr Seven great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Connor, Brittney, Gavin, Jasper, Victoria, and Samuel Other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by two brothers, Angelo and John, and three sisters, Palmina Ball, Louise Trudell and Helen Leach. Visitation will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home with Pastor Robin Zeratsky to officiate. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River.
