Albert Waligursky

Mr. Albert ""George"" Waligursky, age 89, Caspian, MI died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay, WI. Born April 6, 1918 in Caspian The son of the late Casper and Julia (Novak) Waligursky was a life long resident of the area. He attended the Palatka School in Caspian and the Gaastra School. He married Mary DeZorzi on September 23, 1946 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, and the couple made their home in Caspian. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1996. Prior to his marriage, Albert was engaged in farming and logging, and was later employed by Krist Oil Company as an all around employee, driving truck, building, masonry, and general maintenance, for many years, retiring in 1983. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener, and enjoyed taking drives in order to sight animals. He had a keen mind and loved people. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary in 1999 and three brothers, John, William, and Casper Jr. He is survived by three sons; James (Diana) Waligursky, Crystal Falls, MI Donald (Terri) Waligursky, Green Bay, WI Robert (Debra) Waligursky, Caspian Two daughters; Bonnie (Gary) Buerkle, Billings, MT Carole Waligursky, Caspian Special nephew, Michael Victorovich One sister; Sophie Kinney, Iron County Medical Care Facility Three sisters-in-law; Genevieve Victorovich, Iron River Care Center Esther Waligursky, Caspian Lucille DeZorzi, Caspian, MI 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren Many nieces and nephews Visitation: Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Services: Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian with Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor, and Rev. Otto Sartorelli to concelebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Pallbearers: Stanley Victorovich Jr., Michael Victorovich, Jason Waligursky, Ryan Waligursky. Trevor Waligursky, and Brandon Buerkle. Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River, MI.
