Alfred J. Tefft

Alfred J. Tefft, age 78, of Iron River, MI, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, MI. He was born October 25, 1937 in Saranac, MI, the son of the late Louis Tefft and Josephine (Selmo) Wurzer. He attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1956. He was a self-employed in the timber industry for over 40 years. He enjoyed having coffee with his friends at McDonald’s, and loved being around family. Alfred is survived by his sons, James (Amie) Tefft of Iron Mountain and Scott (Michelle) Tefft of Iron River, three grandchildren, Amber, Caitlyn, and Rachael Tefft, and special “adopted” granddaughter, Casandra Harrington. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 10:00 to 10:45 at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to officiate.
