Alice R. Campbell

Alice R. Campbell, age 101, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Caraton Commons in De Pere, WI. Alice was born on May 21, 1921, in Republic, MI, the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Mathilda (Vadnais) Grant. She attended the Republic and Iron River Schools, graduating from Iron River High School, with the Class of 1939. She was employed at various jobs throughout her life, retiring from Coleman Products after many years. Alice was a longtime resident of Mineral Hills and served as Village Assessor and Village President in the past. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, the Altar Society, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts, and playing cards. She especially enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. Alice is survived by her sons, James Langdon of Iron River, MI and Rick Langdon of Milwaukee, WI; daughters, Gere Ebert of Green Bay, WI, Pat Langdon of De Pere, WI, and Linda Langdon of New Berlin, WI; grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Alice was also preceded in death by her husbands, Douglas Langdon and James Campbell; daughter, Marion Eliasson; brothers, Robert and Joseph Grant; sisters, Lorretta Mitchell, Dorothy Gagne, Marjorie Lee, and Mae Webber; and special companion, John Angeloff.
