Alice S. Helgemo

Alice S. Helgemo Age 89 Iron River, MIDied Saturday, August 20, 2011 at her home. She was born July 26, 1922 in Wilson, MI to Enoch and Clara (Johnson) Routheaux. Alice married Henry Hass and he preceded her in death. She later married Bob Ernst and he also preceded her in death. In 1981, Alice married Walter Helgemo and he preceded her in death on May 25, 2000. Alice was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Iron River and the Sunset Lake Sewing Circle. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and baking, and berry picking was her passion. She loved traveling to Port Wing, WI and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her step-daughter, Sharon Slevoski; brothers, Irvin, Wallace, Homer, Florine, Kenneth and Donald Routheaux; sisters, Ester Reitmeyer, Mildred Richards and Irene Lambert. She is survived by her son, Larry (Pamela) Hass of Tomahawk, WI Daughter, Bonnie (Bruce) Mueller of Ogema, WI Step-son, Grant Helgemo of Iron River Step-daughters, Sandra (Bruce) Hassen of Royal Oak, MI Patti (Jack) Comp of Commerce, MI Sister, Marcella (Bill) Hooper of Iron River Five grandchildren Numerous step-grandchildren and great grandchildren Very special friend, Peter Samuelson of Eagle River, WI Visitation: Friday, September 2, 2011 from 10;00 TO 10:45 a.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Iron River Memorial Service: Friday, September 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Iron River with Pastor James Nephew to officiate.
