Alice M. Milanoski

Alice M. Milanoski, age 95, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at The Willows in Howell, MI. She was born on June 7, 1923 in Iron River, MI; the daughter of the late Guy E. and Olive (Hamacher) Marquette. She attended the Iron River Schools, graduating with the Class of 1941. Alice married Floyd Milanoski on June 16, 1945 in Iron River and the couple celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in 2006, before Floyd’s passing in January of 2007. The couple wintered in Arizona for 14 years and in Winter Haven, FL for seven years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Iron River and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 410. She enjoyed golfing and bowling and was active with the church. Alice is survived by her son, David (Linda) Milanoski of Mankato, MN; daughter, Barbara (Myron) Bebes of Brighton, MI; sisters, Nell Paiter and Sally Blyze, both of Iron River, Marge Oelsner of Clinton Township, MI; three granddaughters; six great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother and his wife, Wallace “Wally” and Irene “Rena” Marquette, and sister, Jane Holmes. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Dawn Robbins to officiate.
