Alice A. Tarsi

Alice A. Tarsi, age 82 of Iron River, MI, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Iron River Care Center, Iron River. Born: October 21, 1927 in Stambaugh, MI The daughter of the late David and Concetta (Mattioli) Tarsi attended the Iron River schools, graduating from Iron River High School in 1945. Alice owned and operated Alice's supper club for thirty five years, retiring in 2008. She and her sisters were instrumental in founding the Iron River High School Booster Club. She was an avid high school sports fan. Alice's life was her family, friends and the clients she valued and served at the restaurant. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Alice was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church , St. Agnes Altar Society and the Italian Ladies Society. She was preceded in death by her infant brother Parker, brothers, George, Frank, Nello, Evo, and Aldo Tarsi, Dick Bush and sisters, Irma Possanza, Jane Sabotta and Barbara Lighthauser. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Visitation: Friday, April 9, 2010 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. A liturgical prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service: Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River with Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The ladies of the Italian Ladies Society will form an honor guard at the funeral service.
