Allan E. Smolinski, 72, of Caspian, MI, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
He was born on April 17, 1954, in Hammond, IN, the son of the late Eugene and Helen (Zapalski) Smolinski. Allan attended Thornton Fractional North High School in Illinois, graduating with the Class of 1972.
He was employed in steel processing for Chicago Steel and Pickling Co. Allan enjoyed rock collecting and geology and loved to be outdoors.
Allan is survived by his sons, Eugene Smolinski of Crown Point, IN and William Smolinski of Bradley, IL; grandchildren, Olzea, Luscentia, and Gianna Smolinski; close friends, Becky and Adam Ahola; and extended family.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Dianne Corr and Margaret Bugajski.
Private family services will be held.
