Angeline M. Canale

Angeline Marie Canale Age 87 Caspian, MIDied Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Northstar Health System, Iron River, MI. Born: March 22, 1923 in Gaastra, MI The daughter of the late Antonio and Rose (Folino) Fittante attended the Caspian grade school and graduated from Stambaugh High School in 1943. She then attended the Iron River Business College. Angeline married Victor Canale on April 30, 1949 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, MI and the couple made their home in Detroit, MI. Angeline was employed as a clerk for the IRS for many years, retiring in 1978. The couple then returned to Caspian to make their home. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in 1989. Victor preceded her in death on July 15, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Louis Fittante, an infant sister, Carmela, and sister, Annette Krans. Angeline was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian and St. Ann's Society. She enjoyed dancing and cooking. She is survived by her brothers; Sam (Mary) Fittante of Warren, MI Joseph (Kathy) Fittante of Caspian Sister, Mary (Jack) Jacobson of Iron River Nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation: Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. A Liturgical Prayer Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service: Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church , Caspian, with Rev. Norman Clisch, Pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The ladies of St. Ann's Society will form an Honor Guard at the service.
