Ann V. Brunamonti, age 90, of Caspian, MI, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Iron River Care Center. She was born January 4, 1925 in Caspian, MI, the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Meggiolara) Schiavo. She attended the Caspian and Stambaugh schools, graduating from Stambaugh High School with the Class of 1942. Ann married Victor Brunamonti on November 18, 1944 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, and were lifelong residents of the area. Victor preceded her in death in 1972. She was employed at as a sales clerk at Angeli Foods for many years and also worked at Bigari Ace Hardware and St. Vincent de Paul, retiring in 2002. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian and St. Ann's Society. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and making rosaries for missions. Ann is survived by her sons, Victor (Patricia) Brunamonti of Bloomfield, IN, and Dominic Brunamonti of Caspian; brother, Archie Schiavo of Sun City, AZ; sisters, Florence Webber of Caspian, Loretta (Thomas) Shepich of Reston, VA, and Gloria (William) Flink of Sun City, AZ; grandson, Eric (Kim) Brunamonti; great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Madison; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Geno and Remo Schiavo. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The ladies of St. Ann’s Society will form an Honor Guard at the service. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery in the spring.
