Anna Mae Gugliotto

Anna Mae Gugliotto, age 90 , of Iron River, MI, passed away on Friday June 5, 2026 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility.

She was born on August 18, 1935, in Bates Township, MI, the daughter of the late Anton and Isabel (Matkovich) Vidas. She attended the Bates and Iron River Schools, graduating from Iron River High School with the Class of 1953 and later attended Cleary College in Ypsilanti, MI.

Anna Mae married Domenic “Chee Chee” Gugliotto on September 10, 1955, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Stambaugh, MI. The couple celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in 2017. Domenic preceded her in death on June 25, 2018.

Anna Mae was a banker at The Miners State Bank and enjoyed her career for over 50 years. She loved servicing her customers and working with her coworkers. Anna Mae was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, MI. She enjoyed reading, her dogs, and traveling. Anna Mae was involved with the Legionettes Drum and Bugle Corp, Friends of Lee LeBlanc Memorial Art Gallery, Bates Boosters, and many other community services.

Anna Mae is survived by her nieces, Cheryl (Danny) Byczek and Faye (Michael) Porier; nephews, Rodney (Candace) Olsen, Todd Olsen and Gerald Taube; great nieces and nephews, Todd (Amy) Byczek, Mark (Kelly) Byczek, Jeremy (Rachel) Porier, Christopher (Mindy) Porier, and Jennifer (Scott) Cartwright; and many other nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Edward Vidas and great nephew, Scott Byczek.

Visitation will be held on June 9, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, MI with Fr. Daniel Fosu to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will be in Bates Township Cemetery.
