Anna L. Olson

Anna L. Olson, age 80 of Gainesville, FL (formerly of Iron River, MI),died Friday, September 3, 2010 at North Florida Regional Hospital, Gainesville, FL. Born: September 23, 1929 in Caspian, MI The daughter of the late Antonio and Virginia (Albiero) Meneguzzo attended the Caspian and Stambaugh Schools, graduating from Stambaugh High School. She then attended Telegraph School in Indiana and returned to the Iron River area. Anna married Gaylord Olson on September 23, 1950 in Phelps, WI and the couple made their home in Iron River. They celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary in 1975. Gaylord preceded her in death in 1977. Anna moved to Florida to reside with her son 18 years ago. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River , St. Agnes Altar Society, and the American Legion Auxiliary. In Florida, she was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church of Englewood and belonged to the Crafter's Guild. She was an avid crafter, avid card and dice player, and enjoyed game shows. Her family was most important to her. She is survived by three sons; Gary Olson of Gainesville, FL Geno (Sandy) Olson of Iron River Corey (Trisha) Olson of Milwaukee, WI Daughter; Roberta (Gene) Lanser of Appleton, WI Sister, Rose (Walter) Fedrizzi of Caspian Eight grandchildren Nine great grandchildren Nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends She was also preceded in death by her daughter Gail and brother, John Meneguzzo. Memorial Services: Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River, with Deacon Robert Kostka to officiate.
