Annabelle Marcell, age 99, of Iron River, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls, MI. She was born on December 29, 1921, in Sidnaw, MI, the daughter of the late John and Alphonsine (Goyer) Raymond. Annabelle married Thomas Marcell on April 26, 1941 at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River. The couple celebrated 57 wonderful years together, before Thomas preceded her in death on September 6, 1998. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River and St. Agnes Altar Society. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed working puzzles, playing Scrabble and cards with friends, traveling, quilting, and especially spending quality time with family. Annabelle is survived by her sons, Gary Marcell of Iron River, James (Rebecca) Marcell of Caspian, MI, Thomas (Judy) Marcell of Iron River, Gerald Marcell of Milan, MI, Dennis Marcell of Ypsilanti, MI, Dean (Joan) Marcell of Shawano, WI; daughters, Elizabeth “Betty” (James) Falkner of Mackinaw City, MI, Rose Marie (Randel) Heimerl of Palmer, AK, Barbara Marcell of Caspian, Mary (William) Rivard of Caspian, and Teresa (Gary) Pangrazzi of Iron River; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by two sons, Steven and Russell, daughter, Carol Butler. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Jose Cherian to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
