AnnJane D. Carlson

AnnJane D. Carlson, 92, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls, MI.

She was born on September 16, 1933, in Crystal Falls, MI, the daughter of the late Walter “Dobby” and Rose (Skrivanie) Dobson. She attended Bates Township School, graduating from Iron River High School with the class of 1952.

AnnJane married Carl V. Carlson on October 4, 1952, at the First Presbyterian Church in Iron River, MI. They celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary in 1986. Carl preceded her in death on September 29, 1987.

During her working years she was employed at E. Contardi Accounting, Lindwall Auto Sales, Viking Clogs Mfg., the State of Michigan, M.E.S.C, and retired from the DNR. AnnJane enjoyed her working career. Most important to her was her faith and sharing her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with others. Her life centered around her family and her faithful dog, Winston. In her retirement years she enjoyed wintering in Florida and traveling.

AnnJane is survived by her daughters, Joanne (Dan) Stachowicz and Suzanne (David) Kososki, both of Iron River, MI; son, Mark (Deborah) Carlson of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren, Bryan Kososki, Tracy (Joseph) Larkin, Heather (Terrell) Clark, Lori (Rod) Moynan, John (Nicole) Stachowicz, and Hunter Carlson; great-grandchildren, Austin, Jacob, and Grant Larkin, Elijah, Jenna, and Allie Clark, and Charlie Guindon; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Brian Lee Carlson; granddaughter, Kristi Stachowicz, and brothers, Walter Dobson Jr. and Joseph “Bud” Dobson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Iron River Bible Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kurt Schroder, Pastor Paul Starkweather, and Pastor Dan Waters to officiate.

Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
