Arlene J. Roach

Arlene J. Roach, age 95, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. Arlene was born on May 5, 1926, in Iron River, MI, the daughter of the late James and Winnie (Peterson) Langdon. She attended the Iron River Schools. Arlene married Patrick Roach on May 24, 1980 at the First Presbyterian Church of Iron River. The couple celebrated their 19th anniversary in 1999 and he preceded her in death on July 9, 1999. She was employed as a stockperson in a grocery store for 15 years. Arlene was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Iron River. She enjoyed playing cards, boating, and fishing. Arlene is survived by her daughters, Tana Reynolds of Pulaski, WI and Geri Sloat of Iron River; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Doris Izzard; first husband, Theodore Johnson; brothers, Douglas, Lester, and Melvin Langdon; and sisters, Dorothy Burnett, June Brusseau, and Lois Redford and son-in-law, Clayton Sloat. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to noon at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. with Dawn Robbins to officiate.
