Arnabelle M. Paquette, age 93, of Iron River, MI, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. She was born October 19, 1920 in Escanaba, MI, the daughter of the late Royal and Stella (Piche) Beauchamp. She attended the Kingsford and Hardwood schools. She married Raymond Paquette on August 27, 1938 in Foster City, MI and the couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1998. Raymond preceded her in death on October 24, 1998. Arnabelle was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, the St. Agnes Altar Society, and was a former member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was also a member the Bates Modern Homemakers, and served on the Bates Township Election Board for many years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and singing. At her family’s request, she entertained them with her singing and yodeling. Her family was her life. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Anderson of Iron River; sons, Bruce (Pat) Paquette of Wausau, WI, and Roy (Eleanor Daughtery) Paquette of Rapid River, MI; six grandchildren, Catherine (Brian) Tilton, Rebecca (Ted) Johnson, Debbie (Forrest) Young, Michel (Bridget) Paquette, Eric (Sandy) Anderson, and Shannon (Gar) Lutes; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Karen Orzel of Escanaba, MI; nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Edmond, Francis, Ernest, Leslie, Donald, Robert, Emanuel, and Honore Beauchamp, sisters, Eunice Coon and Lorraine Rahaila, and son-in-law, Mark Anderson. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase, Pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
