Arthur "Snowy" I. Hendrickson

Arthur “Snowy” I. Hendrickson, age 92, of Caspian, MI, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at UP Health System in Marquette. He was born on July 3, 1925 in Old Caspian, MI, the son of the late Irving and Joyce (Nummelin) Hendrickson. He attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1943. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of WWII. Art was employed for 35 years as a teacher, counselor and football coach in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. Most of his time was spent in the Waterford Township School District in Pontiac. Art was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Iron River, the American Legion, the Golden K, and the Caspian Community Center. He enjoyed golfing, trout fishing and fly fishing on the Paint River. In retirement, he traveled around the United States, visiting family and friends. Art is survived his sister, Ruth Kaumeyer of Murrieta, CA; brother, Robert (Jackie) Hendrickson of Shingle Spring, CA, and many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Iron River with Rev. Michael Laakko to officiate.
