Arvilla M. Myers

Arvilla M. Myers, 83, of Gaastra, MI passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. She was born on December 6, 1941, in Custer, MI, the daughter of the late Lester and Caroline (Smith) Baker Sr. Arvilla married William Myers on June 11, 1963, in Scottville, MI. They celebrated 36 years together before William preceded her in death in 1999. She was employed as a cook at KFC in Iron River, MI before she retired. Arvilla enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, and gardening. Arvilla is survived by her daughters, Yvonne (fiancé Greg Ayers)Myers of Gaastra, Frances (Martin) Leukhardt of Oak Harbor, WA, Shelly (Kelly) McGhee of Branch, MI, and Kimberly (Robert) Sanders of Baldwin, MI; brothers, Robert (Linda) Baker of Custer, MI and James Baker of Clinton, MI; sister, Frances (Gary) Parsons of Grand Rapids, MI; 12 grandchildren and five bonus grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 11 bonus great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was also preceded in death by her son, Daniel Myers; brothers, Victor Baker and Lester Baker Jr; and great-grandson, Ryder Malkin. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Iron River. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Al Smith to officiate. Interment will be in Martin Cemetery, Tipler, WI.
