Attilio J. Cerasoli

Attilio J. Cerasoli, age 94 of Caspian, MI, died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Northstar Health System, Iron River, MI. Born: February 28, 1915 in Iron Mountain, MI The son of the late Frank and Anna (Sacchetti) Cerasoli attended the Iron River Schools. He was employed by Cobbler (Shoe) for 15 years, the Iron River Shoe Shop, M.A. Hanna Mining Company at the Hiawatha Mine for 19 years, before transferring to the Groveland Mine until its closure in 1972. He was then employed by Dina Mia Kitchens until his retirement in 1977. Attilio married the former Lorraine LaFountain on May 14, 1968 and the couple made their home in Stambaugh. They celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary in 1991. Lorraine preceded him in death on June 24, 1991. He married Angeline Today in August, 1995 and she preceded him in death in December, 1999. He is survived by his son, Jack (Mary) Cerasoli of Sterling, IL Stepsons; Tom (Arlene) Today of Ely, MN Joe (Roberta) Today of Britt, MN David (Sue) Today of Ely, MN Stepdaughters; Mae Alice (Joe) Lambert of Iron River Myrene (Tony) Chmielewski of Ely, MN Half-brother, Albert (Arlene) Manfredi of Iron River Seven grandchildren Six great grandchildren Eleven step-grandchildren Fifteen Step-great grandchildren One step-great, great grandchild Nieces, nephews and extended family He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lana Reichl; brother, Joseph Cerasoli; and two sisters, Irene Baldinelli and Eleanore Norkoli.
