Audrey C. Momont

Audrey C. Momont, age 83, of Iron River, MI, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Iron River Care Center. She was born July 25, 1931 in Sagola, MI, the daughter of the late Arnold and Alva (Swanson) Simondsen. She graduated from Channing High School with the Class of 1949. Audrey married Eugene Momont on September 11, 1971 in Sagola, MI. The couple were lifelong farmers and members of the Michigan Farm Bureau. She enjoyed her family, working on the farm and in her garden, and spending time with friends. Audrey is survived by her husband, Eugene; sons Michael A. (Mary Jo) of Iron Mountain, MI, Harry (Gail) of Madison, WI, David (Sheila) of La Crosse, WI, Patrick (Victoria) of Caldwell, ID, Timothy (Jackie) of Green Forest, AR, Andrew (Michelle) of Detroit, MI, Joseph (Jennifer) of Arpin, WI, and Michael C. (Terra) of Duluth, MN; daughter, Christine (Joe) Urick of Minnetonka, MN; sisters, Emma (Roy) Johnson of Iron Mountain, MI, Betty (Ray) Burgess, Spread Eagle, WI; 23 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Susan J. Momont, brother, Walter Simondsen, and sister, Norma Klucarich. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Grace Presbyterian Church of Sagola.
