Mrs. Barbara J. Lohrey Age 70 Iron River, MI Passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI Born November 12, 1936 in Detroit, MI The daughter of the late Jacob and Bertha (Maki) Mikkola attended the Crystal Falls schools and was a lifelong resident of the area. Barbara married David E. Lohrey on August 18, 1956 and the couple made their home in Bates Township. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was employed at Laturi's Nursing Home as a Nurse's Aide for several years, and later worked as a waitress for many years in the local restaurants, retiring from Alice's Supper Club. Barbara was also preceded in death by her son Ronald in 1999, and one brother, Glen Maki. She is survived by her special friend, Don Maki Four sons; Bob Lohrey, Gaastra, MI Dave Lohrey, Loveland, CO Rick Lohrey, Milwaukee, WI Glen (Shauna) Lohrey, Gaastra, MI One brother, Ron (Norma) Mikkola, Cedar Rapids, IA Two sisters, Sheila (Bob) Casagranda, Rockford, IL Carol Stackero, Coleman, MI Ten grandchildren Three great grandchildren Visitation: Saturday, February 10, 2007 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, MI.
