Beatrice O. Colberg

Beatrice Colberg, age 97, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Iron River Care Center. She was born on July 10, 1922 in Caspian, MI; the daughter of the late Richard and Adeline (Young) Morgan. She attended and graduated from the Stambaugh Schools, with the Class of 1941. Beatrice married Alvoy Colberg in 1941 in Stambaugh. Alvoy preceded her in death in 1972. She was employed in the housekeeping dept. at Iron County Community Hospital for many years, retiring in 1988. She enjoyed crocheting, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and playing solitaire. Beatrice is survived by her son, Clyde (Gail) Colberg of Ishpeming, MI; daughters, Ruby (Randy) Bobula of Iron River and Cheryl (Roger) Lebarron of Eagle River, WI; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters and great grandson, James Turner.
