Bernice J. Barribeau

Mrs. Bernice J. Barribeau, age 91, Iron River, MI died Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. Born: September 20, 1916 in Crystal Falls. The daughter of the late Peter and Antionette (Uleous) Wilgreen was a lifelong resident of the area. She attended the Alpha Schools. Bernice worked at the Newberry Store for many years and also at the Shoe Box Store in Iron River. In later years, she worked for the West Iron County Schools. She married Edward Demboski in 1938. The couple enjoyed making rag rugs. Edward preceded her in death in 1976. In 1981, Bernice married Clyde Barribeau and the couple made their home in Bates Township. He preceded her in death in 2004. She was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Joe Wilgreen, and four sisters; Carrie, Katherine, Julia, and Mary. She is survived by three sons; Anton (Rosalind) Demboski of Quinnesec, MI David (Sharon) Demboski of Iron Mountain, MI Richard (Victoria) Demboski of Marquette, MI Seven grandchildren Nine great grandchildren Visitation: Friday, December 28, 2007 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral services: Friday, December 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
