Bertha Henriksen

Bertha Henriksen, Age 84 of Iron River, MI, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Peachtree Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Smyrna, TN, with her daughter by her side. Born: October 24, 1924 in Phelps, WI The daughter of the late John and Helmi (Kiviranta) Saari grew up and attended school in Phelps. Bertha married Lloyd Henriksen on September 11,1943 in Iron River. The couple resided in Iron River for a time, later moving to Zion, IL. After retirement in 1988, they returned to Beechwood to make their home. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and she was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd on April 15, 2004. Bertha was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Iron River. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. She is survived by her son, Steven (Melanie) Henriksen of Phoenix, AZ Daughters; Sandra (James) Paul of LaVergne, TN Sonia, (Scott) Kukkola of Fountain Hills, AZ Grandchildren; Kristina (Shannon) Casteel of Atlanta, GA Alisa (Mike) Begitschke of Conyers, GA Adam Henriksen of Phoenix, AZ Kerry Paul of LaVergne, TN Adriane Paul of LaVergne, TN Ryan Kukkola of Fountain Hills, AZ Amanda Kukkola of Fountain Hills, AZ Cory Kukkola of Fountain Hills, AZ Great grandchildren; Chyna, Dakota, Andrew and Cooper Memorial Service: Monday, June 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Iron River, with Rev.
