Beth E. Vezzetti

Beth E. Vezzetti, age 86, of Iron River, MI, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Iron River Care Center. She was born on June 7, 1934 in Rosholt, WI, the daughter of the late Alfred and Vernetta (Leary) Parker. Beth attended the Iron River schools and graduated. She then attended Northern Michigan University and later earned her master’s degree from Northern Michigan University. Beth was employed as a teacher and later principal with the Munising, MI School District for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Iron River and in Munising, where she was also a member of the choir and taught Sunday School. Beth was also a member of MARSP, the telephone operator’s organization, and the Business and Professional Women of Munising. She did a lot of volunteer work over the years, including at Vacation Bible School, was a Girl Scout leader, and a member of the West Iron County School board. Beth enjoyed playing Bridge with her club friends and was part of the “Birthday Club”. She was an avid promoter of fine arts in West Iron County and enjoyed attending concerts. She is survived by her daughters, Faye (Donn) Atanasoff and Cheri Hinshaw, both of Iron River, MI; sister, Ethel Parker-Curtin of WI; grandchildren, Cassidy and Brady Hinshaw, Alex Atanasoff, Aubrey (Steven) Moore, and Austin Atanasoff; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vezzetti; brother, Carland Parker; son-in-law, Paul Hinsahw. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00am at Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River with Pastor DJ Rasner to officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
