Betty J. Shepherd

Betty Jane Shepherd, age 78, of Beecher, WI, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the New Care Nursing Home, Crivitz, WI. She was born February 15, 1936 in Buckhorn, KY, the daughter of the late John and Sarah Shepherd. Betty married Charles Shepherd on in August 11, 1958 in Roseburg, OR, and the couple celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this year. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Athelstane, WI. She enjoyed camping and fishing, and her family was most important to her. Betty is survived by her husband, Charles; sons, Charles (Ella) Shepherd II of Houston, TX, Melvin A. (Judy) Shepherd of Athelstane, WI, Mark (Bindu) Shepherd of Waldo, WI, and James Shepherd of Prairie Du Chien, WI; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, and ten sisters. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
