Beverly Ann Modory

Beverly Ann Modory, age 83, of Trevor, WI, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at UP Health System Marquette. She was born on June 11, 1938, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Stanley and Margaret (Menghini) Shamion. She attended the Iron River Schools, graduating with the class of 1956. She was employed by Abbott Laboratories in Gurnee, IL until her retirement. Beverly was very successful in her career. She attended St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River as a child. Beverly loved to go to the casino as well as going on Las Vegas trips with her sisters. She enjoyed following and investing in the stock market. She would entertain and have lavish lunches with her sisters and play cards afterwards. Beverly had quite the sense of humor. She also liked to read and loved to shop. She especially enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. Beverly is survived by her loving sisters, Loretta Janovicz of Kenosha, WI, Sandra (Robert) Uren of Kenosha, WI, Barbara (Rick) Odgers of Watseka, IL, and Debra Shamion of Iron River, MI; brothers, Richard (Mary) Shamion of Iron River, MI and Ronald (Peggy) Shamion of Iron River, MI; sister-in-law, Christine Shamion of Iron River, MI; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many cousins. A special mention to Bev’s godchild, Heather Alexa, for her constant love and compassionate care. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Shamion and brothers-in-law, Jeff Pociopa and Telasphore Janovicz. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Jose Cherian to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery in the spring.
