Bonita L. Hoefs

Bonita L. Hoefs, age 69, of Iron River, MI, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at her home.She was born November 13, 1944 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late George and Laura (Hoinoski) Melchiori. She attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1963. Bonita married Donald Hoefs. He preceded her in death in 1998.She enjoyed reading, knitting, playing video games, and loved her cats.Bonita is survived by her daughters, Tina Hoefs of Iron River, and Dawn Anderson of Oshkosh, WI, four grandchildren, her aunt, Joan Rometti, various cousins, and five nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her brothers, Keith Melchiori, and Dwayne David Melchiori, and sisters, Marlene Ward, Delores Whinton, and infant sister, Karen.Private family services will be held.Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
