Bonnie Lou (Hall) Kreger passed away at the age of 91 on December 3, 2025.
She was born in Oakland, Ca on August 30, 1934. The only child to Robert L. and Emily M. Hall. They resided in San Rafael, Ca. where she attended Coleman Elementary School. She attended high school at Dominican School for Girls and then college at University of California, Berkeley.
Growing up she loved to watch her father tie flies and go on fishing adventures. She was an accomplished pianist and ballet dancer. The family often traveled to visit aunts and cousins which formed lifelong cherished bonds. During a family vacation to visit Iron River, Michigan, she met a young man who was an avid outdoorsman and apprentice bricklayer named Edward Kreger. Bonnie knew Ed was the one when he rescued a struggling baby beaver on their date. On April 10, 1954 Bonnie and Ed were married in Vacaville, Ca. They started life together in Iron River. After 4 years in Iron River, they moved back to the warmer climate of Novato, Ca. While there, they were blessed with four children, Vincent, Dean, Denise and Eddie “Chookie”.
Her life-long faith in Jesus Christ grew and she became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her passion for dance continued and she learned to belly dance. Her real talent was to teach belly dancing which she taught in both Marin and Sonoma Counties.
In 1976 the family moved to Glen Ellen into a home that she and Edward built. There she raised their kids, cared for animals, taught dance, and began to help Edward run his masonry business. She joined the team and the two of them made their business successful. They built many buildings and fireplaces in Northern California. Bonnie loved spending time at their beloved family ranch where she was able to work in her home office, garden, take care of animals, and be a homemaker.
In her final years she was comforted by the many visits from family and friends. Denise took great care in making sure all of her needs were met.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Edward.
She is survived by their children, Vincent Kreger (Doris), Dean Kreger (Teresa), Denise Stovall (Kevin), Eddie Kreger (Renee) and grandchildren, Sheldon Kreger and Ryley Kreger.
Funeral Services will be January 24, 2026 at 3:00pm, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 16280 La Grama Street, Agua Caliente, Ca. 95476-3109.
