Bruce A. Nichols

Bruce A. Nichols, 65, of Tipler, WI, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Bruce was born on September 5, 1959, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of Marilyn (Lahna) Callovi and the late Orrin Nichols. Bruce attended the Iron River Schools. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Lisa Roberts on July 25, 1989, in Long Lake, WI. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this year. He was the founder, owner, and operator of Nichols Flooring and Stone in Iron River. Bruce was a former Chief of the Long Lake Fire Department. He enjoyed riding his ATV, watching car shows, treasure hunting, telling jokes, working with his boys, visiting Jamaica, and Sunday Fundays with his family. Bruce is survived by his wife, Lisa; sons, Blake (Alyssa) Nichols and Shane Nichols, both of Iron River, MI; daughter, Paige Nichols of Iron River, MI; mother, Marilyn Callovi of Iron River, MI; brothers, Dale (Terry) Nichols of Long Lake, WI and Kenny Nichols of Kingsford, MI; brother-in-law, Neil Roberts of Long Lake, WI; sister, Angela Nichols of Iron River, MI; grandchildren, August, Lincoln, Mila, and Linus; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. A family led memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Long Lake Cemetery. The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites at the graveside.
