Bruce Henry Renè, 79, of Pembine, WI, died on August 17th, 2026, after a lengthy battle with cancer and is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He was born April 11,1947 in Shell Lake, Wisconsin. He attended school at Spooner High in Spooner, WI and graduated with the class of 1965. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Priscilla Clark, he was drafted and served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic in Vietnam. While in the Army he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960 Device, and an Army Commendation Medal.

After his honorable discharge, he worked as an auto mechanic and an owner/operator truck driver and fuel tanker driver. Bruce and Priscilla raised five daughters together, Regina, Sherri, Johanna, Christina and Carolee. He will be remembered for his love for Priscilla and his girls, his affection for his cats, and his kindness to friends, neighbors, missionaries and pastors. Bruce was also known for his physical strength, his amazing mechanical aptitude, his adventures in flying and racing, and his knowledge of all things related to guns and reloading ammunition.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Robert Renè, his wife Priscilla, and two granddaughters, Naomi and Elliana Carpenter.

He is survived by two sisters, Dorinda Joslin and Michelle Renè-Books; his five daughters and their families, Regina and her children, Alexis and Lucas; Sherri Carpenter (Dave) and their children, Andrew, Rachel, and Sarah; Christina Hersch (Nevin) and their children, Christiana, Nevin, Moriah, Heston, Levi, Grace, Branson, Edison, Savannah, Faith, Vivian, Zachariah, and Jonas; Johanna Koos (Sean) and their children, Victoria, Samantha, Jamie, and Lincoln; and Carolee Hirte (Val) and their children, Jesse and Gatlin; his eight great-grandchildren, Myles Beyer, Maleigha, Elijah, Charlotte and Eden Carpenter, Averella and soon Baby Hersch, and Theodore Hersch; and extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the Iron Mountain Veteran’s Administration and Hospital for the wonderful care they provided for Bruce. He spoke so highly of the staff.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mercy Church, W8046, Aspen Lane, Pembine, WI 54156. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, we have set up a memorial and estate preservation fund.
