Bruce C. Rivard

Bruce C. Rivard, age 68, of Caspian, MI, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. He was born on May 27, 1953 in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Charles and Virginia (Clucas) Rivard. Bruce graduated from West Iron County with the Class of 1971. He then attended Northland College in Ashland, WI and earned a bachelor’s degree. Bruce married Carole Sue Abata on October 3, 2009 at the Assembly of God Church in Iron River. They celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary in 2020. He was employed as an assembler at Lakeshore Inc. before retiring. Bruce enjoyed golfing, hunting, sports, and playing bocce ball. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. He coached football in Tigerton, WI for a time. Bruce is survived by his wife, Carole; daughter, Jessi (Bruce Penegor) Rivard of Florence, WI; stepdaughter, Gina Kallio; sister, Gail Jenicek of Washburn, WI; grandchildren, Liz Penegor and Christopher Penegor; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Jason and Jed Rivard and sisters, Diane Beauchamp and Kathy Lou Rivard. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River. A Liturgy of the Word Service will follow at 11am with Rev.
