Bruna Ahlberg

Bruna Ahlberg, age 79 of Caspian, MI, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, MI. Born: December 12, 1930 in Caspian, MI The daughter of the late Peter and Adeline (Antoniazzi) Nardi attended the Palatka School in Gaastra and the Caspian School. She worked in housekeeping and later laundry at the Iron County Medical Care Facility for over 25 years, retiring in 1995. Bruna married LeRoy Ahlberg on May 8, 1948 in Caspian and the couple made their home in Caspian. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in 2001. LeRoy preceded her in death on November 9, 2001. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, St. Ann's Society, American Legion Auxiliary, the Italian Ladies Society, Bowling League, Sewing Club, and TOPPS. She loved cooking and doing word search puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending her summers at the cottage on Indian Lake with her family. She is survived by four daughters; Linda Gallup (Toby) of Bristol, VA Ruth (Steve) Shoquist of Kalamazoo, MI Karen (Thomas) Fesnick of Iron River Sharon (Leif) Erickson of Iron River One brother, Bruno (Ann) Nardi of Rio Vista, CA Two sisters; Rena Marquette of Iron River Eileen Dean of Ocala, FL Eight grandchildren; Todd Gallup (Jolene) Shanon Shoquist (Minde) Kristi Gallup Missy Fesnick Eric Erickson Amy Erickson, Chad Fesnick Evan Erickson Five great grandchildren One great, great grandchild Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Reno, Louis and Robert Nardi. Visitation: Monday, March 22, 2010 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River Funeral Service: Monday, March 22, at 4 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, with Rev.
