Candace J. Weslin

Candace “Candy” J. Weslin, age 69, of Caspian, MI, passed away Tuesday, January 05, 2016 at her home She was born June 5, 1946 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Henry and Virginia (Brooks) Torretti. She attended the Iron Mountain Schools, graduating with the Class of 1964. Candy married Allen Weslin on March 9, 1967 and the couple celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in 2015. She was employed at F.W. Means and at Northpoint Behavioral Health Systems for several years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Iron Mountain. She enjoyed being with family and friends and loved her grandchildren dearly. Candy is survived by her husband, Allen; sons, Scott “Scooter” (Nikki) Weslin of Iron River, and Michael Weslin of Iron Mountain; daughter, Julie (Rochelle Dreiling) Weslin of Lakewood, CO; brother, Bruce (Marsha) Torretti of Iron Mountain; seven grandchildren, Meghan, Macy, Jacob, Alli, Jordan, Zachary, and Blake; one great granddaughter, Gracie; many nieces and nephews.She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Mark, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Janet Weslin. Visitation will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Deacon Robert Kostka to officiate.
