Carol M. Sato

Carol Mariko Sato, age 72, of La Palma, CA, passed away on September 1, 2024, in Iron River, MI from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was born on February 15, 1952, in Himeji, Japan, the daughter of Walter Sato and Sayoko Inoue. Brought to Hawaii to live Carol graduated from Kaimuki High School in Honolulu, HI with the class of 1971. She had been the Director of the West Coast Division of Electronic Media at the American Federation of Musicians in Los Angeles, CA before retiring. Carol was a member of Inland Hills Church in Chino, CA and loved our Lord Jesus Christ deeply. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved son and granddaughters, traveling with friends, cooking for others and fishing at Winslow Lake, MI. Carol is survived by her son, Gonzalo Gonzalez III of La Palma, CA; granddaughters, Londyn Gonzalez, Chloe Gonzalez, Olivia Gonzalez and Kilani Gonzalez; sisters, Grace Higa of La Palma, CA and Julie (Donald) McInroy of Cerritos, CA; brother, Glenn Higa of Henderson, NV; extended family and friends.
