Carol A. Stokoski

Carol A. Stokoski, age 77, of Caspian, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at her home. She was born January 17, 1943 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late John “Iggy” and Marian (Novak) Archocosky.  She attended the Caspian and Stambaugh Schools graduating from Stambaugh High School with the Class of 1960. Carol married William “Bill” Stokoski on June 24, 1972 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.  The couple celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in 2019. She owned the Tux Shop for over 10 years.  She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian.   She enjoyed gardening, taking road trips, socializing with friends, and spending time with her family at Chicaguon Lake and camp. Carol is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, John (Mindi) Stokoski of Iron River and Paul (Dana Melchiori) Stokoski of Gaastra, MI; stepdaughter, Sandy (Michael) Bowick of Deetsville, AL; granddaughter, Lily Hawke; brother, John (Chris) Archocosky of Crystal Falls, MI; sister, Janet (Jerry) Anderson of Caspian, MI; best friend, Sherry Menapace; nieces and nephews, Ali (Dan) Horn, Michael (Olivia) Archocosky, Kristi (Mike) Berutti, and Kim Anderson; extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.  Funeral services will follow at 11am at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with Rev.
