Caroline B. Applin

Caroline B. Applin Age 96 Iron River, MI Died Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Northstar Health System in Iron River. She was born on October 3, 1916 in Dober Location, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Broswaic) Brunswick. Caroline attended the Gaastra and Stambaugh Schools. Caroline married Louis Piette on July 25, 1942. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1967. She later married Frederick LeRoy Applin on November 22, 1975. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1983. Caroline was a member Blessed Sacrament Church of Stambaugh, and later of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, the Daughters of Isabella, the Rosary Sodality and the Altar Society. She enjoyed attending church, volunteering at the Senior Citizen Center, dancing and gardening. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Dominick, Andrew, Chester, Walter and John Brunswick and sisters, Helen Jacques, Mary Benzer, and Estelle Pangrazzi. She is survived by her son, David (Christine) Piette of Stambaugh Brother, Frank (Norma) Brunswick of Iron River Many special nieces and nephews Visitation: Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River Funeral Service: Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Iron River, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Rosary Sodality will form an honor guard at the service. Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River in the spring.
