Carrie L. Lachapell

Carrie (Polley) Lachapell, age 48, of Caspian, MI, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. She was born August 7, 1968 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Karen Polley.   She attended the West Iron County Schools, graduating with the Class of 1986.  Carrie married Duane Lachapell on May 29, 1987 in Tucson, AZ, and the couple celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary this year. She was a member of the National Honor Society, St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, VFW Auxiliary of Crystal Falls, and the Iron County Pullers Association. She enjoyed being in the outdoors, camping, fishing and boating, and especially enjoyed attending her children’s sporting events. She also played darts and softball. She worked for John's Industries for 20 years. Carrie is survived by her husband, Duane; sons, Ethan, Zachery, Richard, and Hunter Lachapell of Caspian; daughters, Tatjana and Isabella Lachapell of Caspian; mother, Karen Polley; brother, Todd Polley of Iron River; sister, Ericka Polley of Caspian; extended family and friends.She was preceded in death by her grandparents Wallace and Elizabeth Polley and Uncle Wallace Polley Jr.  Visitation will be held September 17, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Iron River from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow.
